– Capri Films announces casting for the vampire comedy Suck starring Rob Stefaniuk (Phil the Alien), Jessica Paré (The Trotsky, Wicker Park), Malcolm McDowell (Heroes, Clockwork Orange), Dave Foley (Kids in the Hall), with rockers Carole Pope, Dimitri Coats, Henry Rollins, Iggy Pop, Moby and Alice Cooper.
Written and directed by Rob Stefaniuk, Suck is a Faustian tale of a rock 'n' roll band who will do anything to achieve fame. The vampire comedy begins principal photography on November 24 on locations in Toronto.
The producing team is Robin Crumley, Jeff Rogers and Victoria Hirst. Executive Producers are Gabriella Martinelli (Capri), Brad Peyton, Terry Markus, Jeff Sackman and Tim Brown.
Financed with the participation of Telefilm Canada, Ontario Media Development Corporation, Super Channel and will be distributed in Canada by Equinoxe Films. International sales are being handled by Insight Film Releasing.
