Capri Live Theatre , founded in 2002 by Gabriella Martinelli, is dedicated to developing and producing live theatre. The division's first highly successful production was Scaramouche Jones, Academy Award-winner Pete Postlethwaite's acclaimed one-man show. Produced in association with David and Mirvish Productions, the show completed a sold-out run at Toronto's Winter Garden in October 2003. Capri Live Theatre has a number of other exciting projects at various stages of development including a major musical based on Mordecai Richler's satiric novel, COCKSURE. This winter, Capri will be bringing to Toronto Dicken's Women, the award winning one-woman show starring Miriam Margolyes. The performance juxtaposes novelist Charles Dickens' life against a number of his female literary characters. Miriam plays Miss Havisham, Pip, Dora, Mrs. Bumble and so many more.
